Our story

Most students graduate without knowing how money actually works.

Rise & Invest was built to close that gap — giving middle and high school students access to the financial, career, and college knowledge that most schools simply don't teach.

We believe every young person deserves to understand how to invest, how to build a career, and how to navigate college — regardless of their background or zip code.

We're an independent initiative, not a registered nonprofit. Our community sessions are free. Paid personal bookings help keep it that way.

What we stand for

01

Accessibility

Quality financial and career education should not depend on where you grow up or what school you attend.

02

Practicality

Every class is hands-on. Students leave with real skills, real plans, and real outputs — not just slides.

03

Honesty

We're transparent about how we operate and how we're funded. No fluff, no hidden agenda.

Dylan Gutowski
Founder · Cornell Dyson School of Applied Economics & Management '29 · Rockland County, NY

Dylan is a freshman at Cornell's Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management, with a deep focus on finance, trading, blockchain, and AI. He founded Rise & Invest out of a belief that business should be a force for good — and that financial literacy is one of the most powerful tools a young person can have.

Before college, Dylan placed 2nd at the Stevens Institute Trading Day competition, attended the West Point Summer Experience, and served as an intern and guest speaker at Stockton University's Student Entrepreneurship & Business Academy — where he ran Stock Market 101 and LinkedIn 101 sessions for high school students. He also founded 3D Prints 4 Joy, a social enterprise that raised over $4,000 for local charities through 3D-printed holiday ornaments.

At Cornell, Dylan is a member of Cornell Blockchain, Cornell Trading, the Zambia Community Education Initiative, the Student Activities Funding Commission, and a KKR Scholar. This summer he joins Searchlight Capital Partners ($17B AUM) as a Distressed Credit Summer Analyst. Outside of work, Dylan enjoys tennis, piano, skiing, trading crypto, and adventuring with friends.

How we stay free

Community sessions are offered at no cost to libraries, schools, after-school programs, summer camps, and private groups.

Paid personal sessions — one-on-one or small group — are available for those who want dedicated time. That revenue funds the website, materials, and the initiative's growth.

It's a simple model: those who can pay, help those who can't.
